The Tapered Lens Technology corrects the distortion inherent in high base curve lenses by progressively tapering the lens toward the outer edge. This way, light waves are delivered straight to your eye. The result? Zero distortion.

Tapered Lens Technology found in all Smith models
Visual distortion occurs when light waves hit an aggressively curved lens, which causes them to refract or distort. This distortion can wreak havoc on optical clarity. Smith’s Tapered Lens Technology corrects the distortion inherent in standard 8 and 9 base lens curves by progressively tapering the lens towards the outer edge. It results in light waves being delivered straight to the eye without distorting. This gives you better vision and less eye fatigue.

Grilamid
