I might have to go ahead and purchase a pair for myself. How much do they usually go for. There's so much florescent lighting and glares in my office. It's not too necessary since I have a big window next to me that provides a great amount of natural light. However, because I share an office, the light has to be on. It's been bothering me for some time and I can already see the effects it has on my eyes.

Here's what Jeremy, one of our Gunnar experts, says:

Gunnar glasses are made for eyestrain and fatigue from computers. They are also tinted the yellow color to reduce the harmful lights from the computer. The shape of the glasses are also curved to allow more oxygen in the eye to help with the dryness that usually comes with staring at the screen.

Your everyday Anti Reflective is a great multi use coating, which helps with eyestrain and eye fatigue by allowing more light through the lens rather than bouncing off the lens and creating glare.

Dianna, another Gunnar expert optician added:

The Gunnar lenses have been designed to resolve some of the main issues that computer users complain about most: glare, dry eyes, blurred images and headaches. The design of the lenses target each of these areas . The combination of the specialized tint and material and the anti-reflective coating will effectively soften the effect of fatigue and eye strain that is caused by prolonged use of a computer. The prescription glasses that are made specifically for a computer will help with vision but the anti-reflective coating allows less light reflection allowing more light to enter your lens with the affect of less fatigue and strain on the eyes.

What is the difference in Gunnar glasses that reduces glare and other prescription glasses that are non-glare?

The Gunner Optices (non RX) are for people who do not wear glasses and want the benefit of the Gunner technology to work at the computer. These are also good for those who wear contacts.

The Gunner Prescription lenses are for those who wear glasses and want to benefit from the gunner technology to work at the computer.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.
There is also a great computer glasses video that may help explain RX vs Non Rx.

Hi, this is Muhammad from Egypt, I really liked the style and model of your computer eyeglasses, but I could't understand what is the difference between Gunnar optics (non-RX) and Gunnar prescription computer lenses and computer prescription eyeglasses. I want an eyeglasses for computer use only so why is the prescription.

Thank you. Looking forward to hearing from you.
