Soccer superstar David Beckham has arrived in the United States to take his $250 million place with the Los Angeles Galaxy, bringing Beckham-mania everywhere he goes.

It’s too early to tell if he’ll have enough impact on Major League Soccer to turn the sport into one of this country’s favorites, but one thing is for sure, he’s a fashion icon as well as sports hero. He’s among the best know celebrities of any kind – sports or otherwise – in the country with his name and/or face showing up on everything from fragrance to T-shirts and more recently, Police sunglasses.
