Ray-Ban celebrated the birth of the brand with a re-launch of their most iconic frames – the Aviator. To celebrate the legendary accessory, infamous punk-rock groups Iggy and the Stooges and the New York Dolls joined forces with The Virgins, Free Energy, Plastiscines, The Big Pink and We Are Scientists for live shows in New York and London. Mary J. Blige Sunglasses
Following in the footsteps of Madonna, Celine Dion, the Olsen twins, and every other music diva nowadays, notorious R&B singer Mary J. Blige has her own line of sunglasses in the works. Called “Melodies.” MJB’s shades are set to be released this October. Word has it that there will be four different designs, ranging from aviator style shades to big, black and round classics. Marketing company Orange 21 is co-partnering the sunglass line, check back here for updates in the near future. In the meantime, here’s a vid of MJB sporting what appears to some sleek Baby Phat BP 2038 sunglasses.

There are certain sunglass styles that we automatically associate with celebrities. These iconic frames have shaped the eyewear choices of the public for years.
The first pair of sunglasses that come to mind when I’m thinking in terms of icons are Wayfarers. These are the sunglasses that you see on Audrey Hepburn in the classic, “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”; the same shades are seen 22 years later on Tom Cruise in “Risky Business” and are worn by the Blues Brothers. Wayfarers can also be spotted in “Couples Retreat,” “Takers,” and “My Name is Khan.”

Being pregnant with twins won’t slow this fashionista diva down a bit. Singer Celine Dion announced to the Daily Star that she has launched her own line of sunglasses, called Eyes Signature Collection, rivaling the other female celebrities that have done the same in the past few months. Dion follows the likes of Madonna, the Olsen Twins, and Lady Gaga who all have released signature sunglasses in 2010. If this trend keeps up, this blog might just turn into a female celeb sunglasses blog.

Busch is now sixth in the Sprint Cup standings halfway through the 26-race run leading to the final 10 Chase for the Sprint Cup events.
He was proudly wearing his TAG Heuer Eyewear Racer series on Victory Lane.
