When choosing a pair of frames for your men’s eyeglasses, you need to first consider your lifestyle and personality. What will you be using your glasses for? Do you participate in sports or will they be used for close-up work? This will be a factor in the glasses you should ultimately decide on. Determine also if you should purchase more than one pair. You don’t wear the same pair of shoes every day, so why would you use the same eyewear. Often, it is best to have different pairs for difference activities and occasions. With each pair, take color, style, size, and material in consideration.

While at work, you most likely need to portray a serious image. This helps colleagues and clients have confidence in your abilities. When choosing men’s eyeglasses to be used at work, consider classic shapes and traditional colors. Plastic frames often tend to have unusual shapes and bright colors. It is best to avoid those for normal working hours. Stainless steel and titanium remain good choices along with three-piece mountings and rimless styles. Choose colors such as brown, gunmetal, silver or black as they are conservative and easy to mix and match with business suits. Tortoise shell frames are also appropriate for the workplace.

If you work in a company that emphasizes creativity and fashion savvy, you have more leeway when it comes to men’s eyeglasses. Here you can wear geometric designs or large plastic frames and fit right in. The same is true of metal frames in creative designs. Many choose to go with over-sized glasses in colors such as purple, green or blue. Multi-colored laminates are also popular as well as animal prints and flower patterns. If you want to really stand out in your job, consider eyeglasses with laser details and/or finishes. Retro and vintage glasses are also pleasing to the eye.

If you like to show off your fashion sense, choose a pair which sports a designer logo. Interesting colors can dress up the most basic of glasses, so be sure to consider all options here.

Even if you are not a dad, your life is probably still hectic. In most cases, your work glasses are not appropriate for personal time. You want something that is comfortable and can keep up with you no matter what you are doing. Be sure to consider purchasing a second pair for those times when you are away from the office.

Don’t limit yourself to just one style. Your personality is not one-dimensional and your glasses shouldn’t be either.
