Austin Job: Writer for Social & Online Media

FramesDirect.com, the online leader in eyewear, is expanding into the world of social media and we are looking for a talented writer to help in producing entertaining and informative content for both our on- and off-site endeavors.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Writing and posting humorous blog posts
- Writing and distributing press releases
- Writing engaging web content
- Writing for social media sites such as Twitter, Facebook, & MySpace
Skills & Requirements:
- One to three years experience in online marketing or other related areas.
- Experience and examples of writing you have done for blogs in the past.
- In-depth knowledge of social networking websites including MySpace, Facebook and Twitter.
- Must have experience in creative writing. Solid grammar and presentation skills are a must.
- Must be able to work in a creative, fast paced environment and manage your time in an efficient and effective manner.
- Computer literacy and general knowledge of Microsoft Office products is essential. Microsoft Publisher knowledge is a plus.
- Knowledge of ecommerce businesses a plus.
- General knowledge of organic search engine optimization a plus.
- Must be prepared to office at our southwest Austin location off FM 1826 near Driftwood.
Education:
Bachelors Degree Journalism, Marketing or related field
